As I have mentioned on many of my previous email, phishing cracking hacking scam fraud activities happening in many different ways, taking extra precaution is always a good thing. The bottom line is, don’t open any email attachment for email link, I mean even if it’s the one you know – If you know then simply go directly to the site by typing in the domain name such as ebay.com paypal.com instead of clicking on the email. However there will be time where email ask for validation by clicking on the link to verified then you would need to validate the link by mouse over the link ensure it is indeed the site you would want to visit and trust, when you mouse over the domain or exact link should appear on the bottom left or shows up on your screen.

What is a “phishing scam”?
You may have recently received fraudulent correspondence disguised as an official communication from Newegg. This kind of fake communication is part of a phishing scam, which is designed to “fish” for information by luring unsuspecting recipients into divulging or verifying personal details, like bank accounts, addresses, names and more. Phishing scam artists can send fraudulent communication to millions of people at a time. If you have received phishing communication from someone pretending to be Newegg, this does not mean that Newegg’s data security has been breached. Newegg protects your information with sophisticated security measures, and the recent phishing scam did not compromise our data security.
