Transistor radio

Other students would hang out with friends playing sports and chase after girls, for me I have no interest in those areas. I was more interested in technology and the world. During my middle school years, I believe it was 7th grade, Junior High, I normally spent my time at the local public library checking out books about electronics and technology, especially books that have lots of picture illustration, because I was not a fast reader, books that have pictures would save me a lot of time.

I was always fascinated with electronics and technology, so I thought I could build my own transistor radio, being that I know a little bit about basic electronics and it doesn’t seems to be hard at all to build a a transistor radio.

This transistor radio basically consist of battery, coil, rectifier and ear phone. I got the components from old broken electronics such as radio, tv, and the coil I got it from a transformer. There are many other ways to make a transistor radio, it can be as simple as having a big coil one end connect to ground and the end other connect to an antenna, you can pick up nearby radio station, pretty cool, it took me a while to get this completed. There was no step by step that I follow, I combined with many procedures from different books due the availability of the components.
