Well as many of you know, just earlier today or yesterday, Seagate announced a break through in storage capacity, a whopping 6TB hard drive will be available in the next few years. However, do you really need such large hard drive? Yes and No. Yes, if you run a storage server, such movies and sharing files, like cloud computing cluster server then yes. No, if you’re just doing research and email online, in fact storing data on your hard drive computer is not safe, hacker gets in and you’re expose to the internet all your information published public, and if the computer hard drive crashed, there goes all your research and data information. I have a laptop that have 10GB hard drive and working fine for me, I depend and rely on media storage rather than hard drive, not even HDD. Anyhow a while back IBM also announced unlimited space storage through laser technology I don’t know how that work, but IBM is one of the world computer and storage manufacturer doing continuous research and developments.
ZOTAC the best rebate speedy process and sends checks instead of prepaid credit card
I’m glad that there are a few companies that offer mail in rebate fast process and they sends checks, such as ZOTAC, not only their products is top good as other products by other manufacturer, but they also offer fast rebate process and it’s a check where I can deposit and use to buy any way I want and down to the last penny, not like other companies offer rebate, take a long time, sometime claimed lost, and by prepaid credit card only good for 6mos then after that they charge $3 a month eating all the credit’s left. Furthermore rebate prepaid credit card is bad because you can’t buy much with it, let it’s $10 and you need to find something that’s $10 or less than that, if you’re lucky then some merchant allow multiple credit cards. Thumbs UP for ZOTAC!
Finally my Adbrite ads are up and running on this site
At last Adbrite ads start to shows up on my site, I’m not familiar with it fully yet, but expect to be as good as Google adsense or better I guess depend on the contents and definitely on the traffic with Adbrite. I heard the pay per click is smaller than Google Adsense, but that’s alright I don’t expect any click or making money. It’s an experiment in which I can carry out later in the future. I have done a little bit of research and I saw a lot of complaint about Google Adsense, but bottom line is when Adsense banned you chances are you can never be able to appeal, their decision is basically final, and it’s useless and waste of time to hire a lawyer, unless you have hundreds of thousand dollar stuck in there. If you search the internet web about Adsense comparison with other ads, you will see a lot of bad things, but off course good thing also, and yeah most people wrote bad stuff about Adsense probably because they either got banned from Adsense or one of their site got banned or know someone whom cope with without adsense making no money 🙂 hehehehe.

Giving up on google adsense getting back with adbrite will see how it goes
Bye google adsense, and back with adbrite. Just deactivated google adsense on this site and activated adbrite on this site. Google adsense giving everyone a chance, but they monitor way too closely and don’t give users (publishers) an opportunity to fix their mistake before disabling or stop feeding adsense ads. It’s pretty easy to get in with google adsense, but now a day they monitor very closely and once they banned you, it’s next to impossible to get it back, appeal all you want and all you can, it will be waste of time. Well, let’s give adbrite a try, since this blog is my personal blog and it’s still new, I don’t seeing making any yet on the ads, but will see 🙂 Base on many experience publishers, google adsense pay the best, but have very strict policies must complied
PHP.Backdoor.Trojan on my web server lately hackers hacking
Lately I’ve been getting a lot of this message notification from my antivirus program. Most likely it has to do with hackers trying to exploit my web server, I believe they’re just running a kiddie script that goes out and look at all websites with PHP enabled website script and try to exploit it or hack my server. Even I have multiple antivirus program running and security program and multiple layers firewall, it still possible to hack in if they have the will, they can, I know I can ahahhahah if I have enough reasons to so to any website .. so far I have no hatred or a will to hack any websites :), but don’t pissed me off hahah, just kidding, it does take a lot of time and effort to hack a single website, hackers are aiming for weaker and easier meal than harder one, they send a robot out to do that and come back with the result then they can start hacking. Anyhow, since I got this message, I went ahead and did a thorough scan for that server, I’m in the process of moving it to the SSD server i7, faster box, leaving this one for Folding@Home
Free video audio streaming server can be listen or watch it remotely
I know some this is nothing new for other geeks, but for me I just found out that VLC (Video Lan) is more powerful than I thought. I have been using Video LAN for years to watch any video format files and any audio files, including zip compressed, ISO, no need to decompress or extract, VLC will read it somehow 🙂 awesome software. I have a computer that share files, including movies and audio that I can access remotely from another computer within my network, not internet. I was able to watch movies via wifi if the the file is about 700-800meg or less, larger than that I it lag intermitten especially toward the end of the movie or when the server computer is working hard – I believe this is typical, even the fastest WIFI will not be able to handle bluray movies files directly. – So I did some research seems like I need to stream my movies and let VLC streaming do all the hard work, it stream the file for you no matter what the file format or source, it will convert to the version that you can play remotely via http or other methods, for instant: I have a 10GB MKV bluray movie of Avatar, and no way I can play this file directly remotely via wifi, it’s too big for the network to handle such bandwidth. So if I use VLC streaming server, it would stream the file to the format that I can watch remotely fast and flawlessly, which is MP4 seems to work best for me.

Domains and Web Hosting service sitelutions.com does it have intermittent problems? or frequent downtime?
Well, I have been using sitelutions.com for a long time. Long time ago with multiple accounts, then loss all those domains and now have one account. I use sitelutions.com for DNS IP redirect, such as domain register at godaddy.com but use sitelutions.com as DNS, so I can manage my subdomain and change IP # as need quick just in case of DDOS attack. Then later I realized that godaddy have same thing and it’s better and more popular than sitelutions. Sitelutions.com claimed that do nonprofit also, whether they really do it or not, who knows, and who has asked? probably no one, it’s marketing scheme probably. One problem I encounter with sitelutions before was they disabled one of my domain without even notifying me or let me have a chance to explain, and I asked them to call me on my phone# in which that they did and I think it was the owner maybe or someone from technical support yelling at me telling it’s my fault that they shut down my website, a very mean owner at sitelutions.com or support person at sitelutions.com I think, very bad, they don’t care about me I guess because at the time I only bought one domain from them and I’m probably not vaulable to them so they start yelling and pointing finger instead of hearing the facts, basically I have domain hosting a forum, and on the forum, someone posted an ebook link for download on another site, and because of that sitelutions shut down my site, I don’t blame them but their customer service support or any support at all is not friendly, yelled at their customer? point finger without hearing explanation. Recently I notice their whole network been up and down, sometime it’s slow to respond or cannot reach to certain domain I have, and I have proof using http://www.montastic.com log, indicating sitelutions.com have problems. On top of my own experience with sitelutions, if you search on google for further information, look like hackers are using sitelutions a lot and users from outside of US such as IRAN VIETNAM where all the fraud scam are …
