Well today is March 5th 2012, and the price of an i5 laptop computer only cost $429 from tigerdirect. And it’s brand new, not refurbish, and it’s from one of the brand name MSI, I think they’re good, I believe they make mother board, manufacturer. An i5 chip is from Intel, so no matter what the laptop brand is, it’s still an intel i5 chip, the speed and reliability I think is the same, I don’t understand why anyone would buy brand name. The laptop could have been assembled in Vietnam which has cheap labor, then sends to USA, then US remanufacture or QA or simply put it’s brand name on it such as Sony, ASUS, … and so on, so now it’s their brand although assembled in Vietnam. Anyways, I think $429 for an i5 cpu laptop is super cheap today. Maybe few months later it will even go down further, which will not be a surprise 🙂
